Description

Imported Japanese Koi

Koshiji nisai Showa, 50cm male, picked from this fall’s ikeage. The head Hi is cut by a sumi band running diagonally from the right side of the head toward the nose, a proper Showa start. Hi plates on the left shoulder and mid-body are answered by Showa-zumi wrapping the right side, with two more Hi plates either side of the dorsal toward the tail. The Hi is thick and bright, and the sumi still shows a netted, scale-by-scale look that should fill in and deepen. Small motoguro is starting at the pectoral bases. A strong, balanced male with room to develop.
