Sakamaki Tancho Kin Showa HQ1113

Description

Imported Japanese Koi

Sakamaki nisai Tancho Kin Showa, 44cm female. A squared orange tancho covers the head between the eyes, and that is the only red on the fish. Behind it the sumi starts as a scale-by-scale net over the shoulder, then gathers into darker bands down both sides of the back toward the tail, with an open white patch on the left side. The metallic luster shows across the scales and fins, and both pectorals carry sumi stripes running out from the base. Not the usual Showa look; the tancho and the shine are what catch your eye first.
