Yamamatsu Showa HQ1114

Description

Imported Japanese Koi

Yamamatsu nisai Showa, 45cm female, out of this fall’s harvest selection. The Hi covers the head right down to the nose, with a few small sumi marks set into it, and carries straight back into a wide shoulder plate. Behind that the pattern breaks into separate Hi steps with white between them, while the sumi comes in as a dark band across the shoulder and smaller marks toward the tail. The Hi is a strong orange-red and stays even across the big plates. Plenty of color on a good-sized body, and young Showa sumi tends to keep firming up from here.
